Brie

This 15.2hh grey gelding belonged to Christel for three years. He intensely disliked needling to begin with and had to be twitched or sedated. He did get over this however, and as he had unfortunately suffered with much ill-fitting tack and poor schooling resulting in an upside-down neck (all the muscle at the bottom!) he had a very sore back in the saddle region.
Regular treatment after ensuring his tack fitted well transformed his movement and willingness to work. So much so that even though he was not remotely flashy he regularly placed at BD competitions. He is now happily terrifying riders at a local riding school!

Sheba

I only met this super crossbreed dog about 6 months before she sadly had to be put to sleep, but in that time that I treated her, her owner noticed that she was cheerier and more able to get around than she had been before. Her quality of life was significantly increased.

Stoli

Stoli had a long history of lameness resulting in part at least from a pedal bone fracture. I was contacted after suggestion by an equine chiropractor to help with his gut problems and unthirftiness - he also had significant skin problems (almost looking like scald). His skin improved significantly and he walked more comfortably to the point where the farrier was able to get him to stand on one foot long enough to shoe him.

Archie

Archie is a hanoverian who has been with Andrew for a year. He suffers from a tight back, as he has been used to pulling up against draw reins, but also when we first got him he had the most terrible scours no matter what you fed him as forage, although he was worse on haylage. He didn't respond to numerous diet supplements aimed at improving this but after a few sessions aimed at both his back and his bowel he hasn't had any scouring problems. Because of the level he works at he does continue to require work on his back.

Mel

Mel was an ex-hunter in her 20's with an enormous left carpus (knee) from a previous injury. She thrived on a weekly hack and charged round the countryside but preferred to canter and on one lead, rather than trot as she was lame! Acupuncture, whilst not being able to 'fix' such long-term disease, has improved her balance, and she was willing to trot even on roads, and would strike off on both canter leads. Sadly she was put to sleep last year.

Teddy and Mickey

Teddy is a 15 year old Collie dog living in a super home. I've been visiting Teddy for over a year and he has regained his joie de vivre - so much so that he has been seen rolling on his back (a behaviour the owner thought was long-gone!) and leaping up in the air. I also treat his house-mate, Mickey, also 15, who has a neurological problem which causes his forelimbs to shake when he stands for a length of time. He also has a degree of laryngeal paralysis and acupuncture helps reduce his airway noise.

Chaz

Chaz is a 13 year old border collie, who used to work, and is now enjoying a happy retirement. His main problems are elbow hip and back pain, but also laryngeal paralysis, which responds well to acupuncture. The owner has noticed a dramatic reduction in noise when Chaz pants, and he is much more comfortable, and having sessions monthly or less often now, after just 5-6 sessions!
